Once again, the Harbinger is bringing her deranged religious fanatics into Khador territory. This time Vlad is called upon to bring his trusted Winter Guards. The game is fast and brutal. Vlad is on top of it most of the way, and after the traditional kill Judy intermezzo, he is set to win. However, out of the blue Harbinger pulls the biggest hail Mary win I have ever seen.

Vladimir Tzepesci, the Dark Prince (Vlad1) vs. Marshal General Baldwin Gearhart & Mr. Clogg (Gearhart1)
The dissidents from Llael seem to have a hard time accepting the natural order of things under the Empress' rule. Once again they are stirring things up. This time Gearhart is attacking our supply lines and Vlad with his trusted Winter Guard Kommand is dispatched to stop this nonsense. Vlad deals out swift justice and stops the Crucible Guards in the shortest game so far.

Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff (Sorscha3) vs. Vice Scrutator Vindictus (Vindictus1)
The religious fanatics from the Protectorate have decided to push the Northern Crusade even further into Khador territory. This time the push is lead by Vindictus and heavy Exemplar infantry; and they are bringing a bloody church! Sorscha is dispatched to hand out the Empress justice to the invaders. This becomes a long meat grinding game of attrition. At the very last moment Sorscha pulls out a win on scenario.

Armored Corps under Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff's orders (Sorscha3)
Sorscha3 should be the natural choice for an Armored Corps list - she is in Man-O-War armour! This post sums up my thought and rationale for putting together this particular Armored Corps list. Any short comings in the performance of Sorscha3 and her Man-O-Wars are solely the fault of the player.
Kommandant Sorscha Kratikoff (Sorscha3) vs. Kallus, Devastation of Everblight (Kallus2)
The Legion abominations are again plaguing the land. This time Sorscha is called upon to deal with it. She brings her trusted Man-O-Wars in an Armored Corps list against Kallus and all his merry evil Rudolfs. This battle was almost a song of fire and ice, where Kallus provided the fire and Sorscha the ice. Ice won – winter was coming.

Vladimir Tzepesci, the Dark Prince (Vlad1) vs. Lord Ghyrrshyld, the Forgiven (Goreshade4)
Goreshade is making trouble again. Last time he managed to get the better of Irusk and his Winter Guards. This time the responsibility falls to Vlad. He brings the new hard hitting Winter Guard Kommand list, including two of the wonderful Gun Carriages. However, he is not the only one bringing Battle Engines. Goreshade is bringing a Trident, which turns out to be quite dangerous. However, the crazy elves are no match for Vlad and a Marauders in assassination mood.

Winter Guard Kommand under Vladimir Tzepesci, the Dark Prince's orders (Vlad1)
Vlad is a Winter Guard's second best friend after Irusk2. Where Irusk2 keeps them alive to fight another day, Vlad1 makes them fight today. This post details my approach to Winter Guard Kommand under Vlad1. As a special treat, this list contains two of the Empress' finest Gun Carriages. A marvellous addition to a WGK list under Vlad1.

Supreme Kommandant Irusk (Irusk2) vs. The Harbinger of Menoth (Harbinger1)
The Harbinger is flying into Khador territory using the rather impressive flag. She is a completely unknown foe to me. So, what better to do that pull out Irusk and his trusted Winter Guards. It turns out to be an interesting and fun fight. Unfortunately, it is so interesting that Irusk runs out of time and must face a defeat.

Today's tip: How do I know which unit this random Winter Guard belongs to?
There are currently more that 50 Winter Guard models on the table when Irusk commands his WGK list. This is a well and good during deployment, and perhaps during the first turn. But what to do later on when the table is a complete mess of Winter Guards from six different unit all mixed up? I have opted for coloured base markings, here is how and why.
