Tokens for the Motherland

Tokens for our marvellous army is always an issue. I have had a lot of tokens from different suppliers. All of which I have been happy about. However, times change and new stuff arrives, and suddenly I'm missing just that token, which will take me forever to get. With the common access to 3D printers, that should be a thing of the past. So, I have made some pretty basic Khador tokens for the whole army. They are free to use them, if you so desire.

Update by June, 14th, 2025

Yana has also become an Old Umbrey Warlock. In Winter Korps, she has lost Battle Lust and gained Fury's Strength. I have produced a token in STL for Fury's Strength, which can be found here. It has also been included the package below. Battle Lust has been kept. We might be lucky in the future...

Tokens come in many shapes and form. I have had the old official Privateer Press tokens, the very pretty ones from Frozen Forge. I have wanted those from Broken Egg, and most recently those from Monstrous Makings. There are also some other downloadable here. However, I always end up with too many of one kind and too little of another one. New models are introduced and then I have no tokens. So, I have decided to make my own.

There are quite a lot of cool 3D modelling software out there. I have tried a few and discovered that I'm best at engineering style CAD software. So, all the tokens are made in Autodesk Fusion. I have no idea if that is the best. I just happen to be able to use it.

There are two different styles of tokens: one style for spells of any sort, and one for other effects. I haven't done any for "normal" effects like Knockdown, Stationary or Focus. I might at some point. Neither have I done the mercenary tokens. They might also appear in the future.

My approach has been to make a token for all necessary effects and then print the number I find sensible, which might, or might not be the theoretical maximum.

The files makes pretty big tokens. When I print them I scale them to 50 mm width for the spell tokens and 30 mm width for the other tokens. I have printed them on an old Anycubic D2 printer using whatever resin I had. They come out OK but tend to bend a bit.

I have painted them using an Army Painter Colour Primer Dragon Red and then some random black and white colour for the logo and text. I'm quite happy with them.

All the tokens are made available under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. This license requires that reusers give credit to the creator. It allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, for noncommercial purposes only. © 2025 by Igor Khador. The Khador logo is probably copyright by Steamforged Games.

Below you'll find the tokens, to whom they belong and how many are required. For those who can't be bothered to read all the explanations below. All the STLs can be downloaded here:

Tokens for spells

Random spell tokens
There are currently 26 different spells available for Winter Korps Warcasters. 10 of these are on the rack. The rest are Warcaster specific. I do not separate between upkeep spells and non-upkeeps.

Typically, you'll only need one of each upkeep spell. However, the number of non-upkeeps have theoretically maximum. which is the number of focus of the 'caster + 1 for the Lucky Penny card, divided by the cost of each spell. We can add one more spell if Damien can cast it.

The table below lists all the spells, the maximum number that can be cast in one round and whether or not Damien can cast it. The only odd one out is Ekaterina, who potentially can cast any number of spells depending on how Long Shadows pans out. I have chosen to ignore this complexity. Some numbers are ridiculous high. Yet, the number is the theoretical maximum; not the practical one.

All orders and spells available to Winter Korps Warcasters and their theoretical maximum.

All the STL files for the spells can be downloaded here as a zip file. They are unsupported. So, that is up to you to decide how to best support them. I just use the default support in the Anycubic Photon Workshop app that came with my printer. I print them 50 mm long. Check the dimensions of Rock Wall before printing. It is a wall template and is suppose to be 4" long and 1/2" wide. That is 101.6 mm long and 12.7 mm wide in clever units.

Tokens for orders and other abilities

Some other tokens
There are currently 16 different orders and abilities that Winter Korps models can gain, give out or as a consequence of a model's action. I have not separated between ability and effect.

I have, currently ignored the generic effects, such as Knockdown, Fire or Stationary.

The table below lists all the different orders and abilities, and the maximum number of tokes that can be in play. As with the spells, the maximum number is not necessarily the practical number. There are also some abilities and effects from mercenaries that will work for Winter Korps. They have, not yet, been covered.

All orders and effects available to Winter Korps models and their maximum.

N/A in the tabel above are the general effects that there typically are other tokens for. Some of the N/A, such as Stealth and Shield Wall could be good for new players to mark; just to remember it.

All the STL files for the orders and effects can be downloaded here as a zip file. They are unsupported. So, that is up to you to decide how to best support them. I just use the default support in the Anycubic Photon Workshop app that came with my printer. I print them in 30 mm width.

Post Script

Please feel free to use the tokens. Contact me if there are any errors or omissions. I might do the mercenary tokens at some point in the future, as well as the general effects and focus.

Until next time

For the Motherland!
